1Then Moses and the sons of Israel sang this song to the LORD, and said, "I will sing to the LORD, for he is exalted, exalted; horse and its rider he hurled into the Sea."2My might and my song of praise is Yah, and he has become my salvation. This is my God, and I will adorn him; the God of my father, and I will exalt him.3The LORD is a man of war; the LORD is his name.4He hurled Pharaoh's chariots and his army into the sea, and the select of his officers sank in the Red Sea.5The Deep will cover them. They went down into the Deep like a stone pillar.6Your right hand, O LORD, is glorious in power. Your right hand, O LORD, shatters the enemy.7In the abundance of your majesty you demolish your risers. You send your divine wrath; it consumes them like stubble.8At the breath of your nostrils the waters piled up. They stood like a heap. Flowing streams froze. The Deeps in the heart of the Sea.9The enemy said, "I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my soul will gorge itself on them. I will draw my sword; my hand will dispossess them."10You blew with your Spirit; the sea covered them. They sank like lead in the mighty waters.11Who is like you among the gods, LORD? Who is like you, majestic in holiness, awesome in praises, doing wonders?12You stretched out your right hand; the earth swallowed them.13You have guided this people in your steadfast love; you have redeemed them. You led them in your strength to your holy dwelling.14Peoples have heard; they tremble. A shiver takes hold of the dwellers of Philistia.15Then the chieftains of Edom were dismayed; the rams of Moab—trembling will seize them—they melted away—all the inhabitants of Canaan.16Terror and dread will fall upon them from the greatness of your arm; they will be still like a stone until your people pass, LORD, until this people you have acquired passes.17You will bring them and plant them on the mountain of your inheritance, the place for your dwelling that you have made, O LORD, the sanctuary, Lord, that your hands have established.18The LORD will reign forever and ever.19For Pharaoh's horses came with his chariots and his horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought the waters of the sea back upon them, and the sons of Israel walked on dry land in the midst of the sea.20And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took the tambourine in her hand, and all the women went out after her with tambourines and dances.21Miriam answered them: "Sing to the LORD, for he has exalted, exalted: horse and its rider he has thrown into the sea."
